Renewed Hope Center
Is a place of hope for those needing direction in life. The training center offers various programs to help individuals move forward with their lives. By Equipping the Mind of students with valuable information learned from the “Jobs for Life” program, students are able to discover what career is best for them and learn how to get the job they want.
Many people are hurting from the stresses and difficulties that they encounter from life situations. Healing the Heart through faith based lay counseling is provided for those who may not be able to afford a licensed counselor but need a compassionate person with a listening ear to understand. Through small support groups, relationships are built to help encourage others going through similar difficulties and challenges.
Renewing the Spirit is the goal with all of our services as we help an individual take charge of their circumstances, gain a greater sense of confidence and self-esteem, and learn how to get on a path of success.
Renewed Hope Center offers services to families, men, women and children. Our programs include "Equipping" education through out of school programs, Jobs for Life™, Life skill career development, entrepreneurial training, family development, pastoral and lay counseling, support groups, mentoring, spiritual guidance and ministry outreach.
Renewed Hope Center offers classes at various scheduled times throughout the year. To view our program options, click here.
Renewed Hope Center is also looking for volunteers and businesses that would be interested in supporting our efforts to bring encouragement and direction to those in need. Be sure to check out our Volunteer Opportunities and Business pages.

In 1980, while studying Business Administration at UNO, Trudy Godwin began her career by managing a sixty-bed hotel in New Orleans’ French Quarter.
Answering God’s call on her life, in 1985 she volunteered to work with Community Christian Concern (CCC) in New Orleans East, an outreach committed to helping the poor and homeless through advocacy and referral, food and clothing services, transitional housing, life skills and job readiness courses. After gaining experience at CCC, Trudy took a two-year leave of absence to continue her education at ORU in Psychology.
When she returned, in 1994, Trudy became the Executive Director of CCC, a position she held until Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Through a series of events, in March 2008 Trudy collaborated with Operation Blessing International to open Renewed Hope Center in Slidell, LA.
In her own words, “As a long time resident of Slidell and experienced in more than twenty years of working with those in need, I am excited about the opportunity to work with Operation Blessing and those who will find a heart connection to our mission.”
